Health & Safety
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Your safety comes before every rep. This policy sets out what we do to keep the studio safe and what we ask of you before, during and after every session. Nothing we offer is a medical treatment: if you are pregnant, recovering from an injury or managing a health condition, speak to your doctor and tell your coach before booking.
5.1 Your health and our services
Group classes, personal training, Pilates reformer sessions and body-shaping technology are fitness and wellness services, not medical treatment. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or care. By booking, you confirm that you are in a condition to take part and that you have consulted a doctor about any condition that could be affected by exercise.
5.2 Health declaration
Before your first session we will ask you to complete a short health questionnaire, and we may ask you to update it from time to time. Please tell your coach, before each session, about any injury, pregnancy, surgery, heart or blood-pressure condition, dizziness or any change in your health since your last visit. Your coach may adapt the session, offer a lighter alternative or, where necessary for your safety, ask you not to take part.
5.3 Pregnancy and postnatal training
Training during pregnancy and after birth can be safe and beneficial with the right adjustments, but only with your doctor's clearance. Please share that clearance with your coach and tell them how far along you are so that every movement can be adapted for you.
5.4 Body-shaping technology
Body-shaping sessions use technology that is not suitable for everyone. Do not book these sessions if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, a recent surgery, an active skin condition in the treatment area, or a heart, circulatory or blood-clotting condition, unless your doctor has confirmed in writing that it is safe for you. Sessions are always administered by trained staff, and you must follow the preparation and aftercare instructions you are given.
5.5 In the studio
To keep every session safe for you and for others, please:
- Arrive 10 minutes early and complete the warm-up; latecomers may be asked to sit out for their own safety.
- Wear appropriate athletic clothing and clean, closed indoor training shoes, or grip socks for Pilates reformer.
- Follow your coach's instructions on form, load and modifications, and stop and tell them at once if something hurts.
- Drink water before and during training, and let your coach know if you feel faint, dizzy or unwell.
- Wipe equipment after use and report any fault or damage immediately rather than continuing to use it.
- Keep the training floor clear of bags, phones and drinks other than water.
5.6 Teen members
Teen Pilates Reformer sessions for ages 12 to 18 follow an adapted programme with lighter loads and closer supervision. A parent or legal guardian must complete the health declaration and provide consent before the first session, and must inform us of any change in the teen's health.
5.7 Hygiene and illness
The studio, equipment and changing areas are cleaned throughout the day and between sessions. If you have a fever, a contagious illness or an open wound, please stay home and cancel your booking; contact the studio if it is less than 3 hours before the session so we can look at your case.
5.8 Emergencies
Members of our team are trained in first aid, and a first-aid kit is kept at the front desk. Please keep an emergency contact number on your account. In a medical emergency we will call the emergency services and your emergency contact.
5.9 Privacy in a women-only space
Phones and cameras must not be used in the changing areas, and other members must never be photographed or filmed without their clear consent. Please report any concern to the front desk straight away; we will act on it immediately.
